Travelers around the world may be surprised by the imposing architectural works. Such buildings have distinguishing features and impressive designs. Some buildings have been built in large scale, setting new world records.

Cable-stayed road bridge Millan Viaduct, designed by the structural engineer Michel Virlogeux and British architect Norman Foster, spans the valley of the river Tarn. Its 343.0-meter height makes it the tallest bridge in the world. It is one of the most breathtaking bridges ever built. The work set three world records namely the highest mast, the highest pylons, and the highest road bridge deck in the world.

It costs almost €400 million to build this viaduct which is part of the A75-A71 autoroute axis from Paris to Montpellier.
The Sydney Opera House, a multi-venue performing arts centre, is located on Bennelong Point in Sydney Harbor. It hosts more than 1,500 annual performances. The House, the recognizable images of the modern world, is one of the most famous and most photographed structures of the modern era. With a roof evocative of a ship at full sail, the House becomes the Australian icon. Roof sections weigh up to 15 tons, holding together by 350 km of tensioned steel cable.

Fallingwater or Kaufmann Residence by architect Frank Lloyd Wright was built partly over a waterfall on Bear Run in the Mill Run, Pennsylvania. The building was featured in Bob Vila’s A&E Network production Guide to Historic Homes of America. It integrates with the striking natural surroundings. Its interior depicts a sitting area with furnishings.
